Music & Politics

Anyhow, when I’m listening to music I also find some ease in writing–oh, and I seem to live chewing Trident chewing gum too. Don’t know why. Back the music, depending on what mood I’m in I will play a song to match it, so I go the extreme and being writing in that tone. Listening to Annie Lennox’s ‘Into the West’ gives me reason for sad endings and the Rohirrim Fanfair let’s me imagine heroic battles–desperation?

Moving on…

Has anyone seen the I’m Voting Republican video? I think it’s hilarious, and what makes it all the better is that I live in the UK and hence don’t care much for the presidential race, ’cause they really are a race. If you haven’t seen it, then try it now:

The sad thing is, it almost reflects the mess that the US is in at the moment, and has been for quite some time. I can’t be bothered to go into poliicts, considering it’s 23:15 and I’m tired… Anyway, watch it now!

you really should care about the presidential race…What president gets elected WILL (I promise almost….sooooo close 109%) effect your economy…

    Just tellin’ ya.

What I don’t get is why doesn’t the world just get along? Why doesn’t everybody work toward one goal: peace? I guess I just don’t understand some people.

You’re right, we all need peace, but I can’t help but laugh at the American presidency. Trading will barely change, not at this point in the day anyway considering the recession moving towards America. I can’t believe they take a whole year for campaigns. We have about a fortnight before, lol.

Maybe we just want to be sure about the person who is going to run the country…it makes since.

I really don’t know how you see humor in it.

It’s just funny! A presidency term is four years, and a quarter of it is preparing for the next person. No offence to anyone concerned, but they haven’t exactly done a good job picking the last president, just shows how the campaign length really doesn’t matter.

America just fails to see itself from another point of view, meanwhile Europe is getting on with its economy.

But that’s who they thought would be best for our country, that’s why they voted for him.

Not everybody is like that, though. But right now I’m not sure if your looking at both point of views: ours and yours. But that is a good pointer, in a way.

Ye I know, no offence :)

Didn’t turn out that well though did it?

No not really. Anybody who gets elected after Bush is going to be way better.

And when you said a quarter of the presidental term is spent preparing for the next person it’s not exactly true…that year is just the campain, as I said above, where people want to be sure about what the person said and everyhing. The president (Bush, in this case) is probably sill doing…can’t say he’s doing his job…whatever he’s doing during this process. It does take time to get used to things, I know.

I even don’t understand how the election process works entirely so I did some research on it…This website may help explain why the process is a year long.

    Ye you’re right.

Sometimes I think ours is way too short, but the US presidency is pretty big too.
